Tim Legler gives the Hornets a little respect in his video analysis. Among other things he mentions, is their lack of bench depth.
John Hollinger mentions that David West is this close to being the 7th 20-10 guy in the league. This sentence, though, made me laugh: “In a few more weeks everyone will refer to West as the most underrated player in the league, so allow me to jump the gun.” I think I’ve heard every single opposition commentator call West that since November 2006.
While we’re on the subject of finally getting some publicity, how about a sweep of all the major power polls? ESPN has us over Boston, NBA.com has us over Phoenix, SI has us over Boston, Yahoo has us over Dallas, and Hollinger’s Rankings peg us as the best team in the NBA.
Yahoo’s Kelly Dwyer makes the case that Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA, while NOLA’s makes the case that D-West is an All-Star.
